Overview
This programme will provide training and designated workshops to aid the city in its initiative to create job readiness in the community’s unemployed youth. Centre postgraduate students and postdoctoral fellows will participate in this outreach, providing training and seminars in 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR) related big data activities.
Programme outcomes
- Upskilling of unemployed youth in radio astronomy instrumentation manufacturing.
- Outreach to increase community awareness of the challenges of the 4IR, and the employment opportunities in the big data field.
- Formation of connections between unemployed youth with participating members in industry.
- Big data workshops and trainings.
